Since it’s opening in August 2005, The Brook of Houghton Lake has offered a full range of services to meet most physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs for its’ residents. Meals are prepared by accomplished cooks and offer a menu designed to provide balance, nutrition and taste. Housekeeping, laundry and maintenance are just a few of the services we offer.
The Brook Retirement Community works in cooperation with medical professionals including physicians (on-site at designated times), home health care staffs, physical and occupational therapists, hospice and others. Our manager is a Registered Nurse who is in attendance daily (Monday through Friday) with additional RN’s on call 24/7.
Houghton Lake is a growing area complete with small village shops, large chain stores and business services. Three large hospital systems have facilities close by including Mercy Hospital Grayling, Mid Michigan Health and West Branch Hospital. The Brook’s van will transport residents at scheduled times to fun events, appointments and outings.
