Personal Alert System
Each resident is issued an emergency alert pendant. They are to activate it if they fall, become ill, etc. It alerts the in-house pagers that our aides carry.
Tawas Village provides security 24/7. Our night time staff conducts visual room checks at 2 hour intervals – more often when required.
There are situations that may arise where care is required after surgery or for a rehabilitation period. We provide the facility for this type of situation. Whether it is short or long term, the care necessary is available.
The studios and suites are designed for privacy and comfort. Each is equipped with its own telephone and cable TV outlets, personal heating/air conditioning unit, small refrigerator and complete bathroom with wheelchair accessible shower. The suites can very comfortably accommodate two people. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings and decorate their unit to their taste. Because of the beautiful wooded surroundings, each studio offers a pleasantly relaxing view.
The spiritual needs of our residents are very important. That is why we have weekly Bible Studies, Catholic and interdenominational services. If a resident prefers a local church, arrangements can be made for transportation.
Tawas Village, Inc. is an investment in security and good health. Cost is important to everyone. Therefore, we provide all of the services previously mentioned and many that we have not emphasized for nominal monthly fees. We do not require endowments or life long leases. We believe that people deserve options for short and long term needs. We urge you to take a look at your current expenses for food, utilities, household maintenance, mortgage, taxes, yard, snow and all of the other expenses that you spend on a day to day basis and make the judgment if Tawas Village is as cost effective as we think it is.
