The Michigan Shores Cooperative is a 54 unit complex for active residents. It is cooperatively owned and governed by its resident members. The Michigan Shores Cooperative is located in northern Michigan's Benzie County in Frankfort, Michigan, less than an hour from Traverse City, Grand Traverse shopping, and the Cherry Capital Airport. To qualify, a Michigan Shores member will be 55 years or older, and meet minimum income requirements. A member's share is paid to the cooperative upon relinquishing their membership, the share money is returned with limited equity to the member or their estate in accordance to the Corporate By-Laws
