Autumnwood of McBain is considered one of the finest nursing homes in Northern Michigan. Our 95 bed Skilled Nursing Facility is located in the rural town of McBain, just 15 minutes southeast off Highway M-66.
Autumnwood has three seperated units designed for individual needs based on Medical Criteria, Independence and Highly Skilled Rehab.
Fully licensed and certified by the State of Michigan, Autumnwood accepts most Insurance, Private Pay, Medicaid and Medicare.

NURSING:
Autumnwood of McBain provides twenty-four hour skilled nursing services. This is provided by R.N.'s, L.P.'s, and Certified Nursing Assistants. Our goal is to help the residents obtain the highest physical, mental and psycholosocial level which they are capable of.
We offer a variety of services including Restorative Nursing, IV Therapy and Skin/Wound Care treatment and management. We also are capable of providing an array of entral care. All of these services support our efforts of providing care not only for long-term placement but for the subacute patient as well.
NUTRITION:
Nutrition is a vital component to aiding in the assurance of the residents highest quality of life. Good nutrition aids in the healing process and also helps to maintain good skin integrity.
All of our meals are reviewed by a Registered Dietician who specializes in geriatrics. We offer liberalized diets that have been recommended by attending physicians. We features an "enhanced dining program" which strays from the rigid traditional meal services. We atrive to address resident choices and give them oppoertunities which previously have not been available in many nursing homes. We are continuing to improve our services with the goal being as much like as possible.
SOCIAL SERVICES:
The Social Services Department addresses medically related social and emotional needs from intial inquiry throughout the resident stay in the facility.
The Social Services Department functions in a advocacy role and serves in a liasion capacity to assist the resident in obtaining needed services and resources in the community. They are instrumental in aiding with the adjustment period from home regardless if long-term placement or assisting with discharge planning.
