Welcome! Within the walls of American House Elmwood you'll find a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere of assisted living for seniors. Three nutritious home-style meals are prepared fresh daily by our chef and served restaurant style in our dining room. Spacious tables and comfortable sitting add to the rich experience of fellowship while dining. Alternative meals are available as well as diabetic desserts. Located near the front of our building is our living room; an elegant, comfortable place for residents to gather and socialize. Conveniently placed within our building is a beauty salon that provides haircuts, styling and manicures. Near the salon you will also find our Elmwood Chapel where you can join bible study, communion and non-denominational church services. Further on, you will find our billiard room offering casual and scheduled games and plenty of comfortable seating for socializing and friends and family visits. Our activity room remains busy hosting various activities from exercise classes to crafts and bingo, as well as seasonal barbecues and celebrations that spill into our beautiful courtyard and patio. Our residents enjoy three spacious courtyards complete with outdoor seating and bird watching. In addition, we have a long front patio where you can casually rock while enjoying a cool breeze and friendly conversation. Or, choose our large covered patio complete with patio seating and surrounded by mature trees and landscape. This patio offers a very private, quiet, peaceful area to enjoy a great book from our library.

We offer spacious studio, efficiency, and one bedroom apartments. Our friendly housekeeping staff will visit your apartment to provide both daily maid and weekly housekeeping services. For peace of mind, American House provides 24 hour staffing. In addition, an onsite personal care company provides home health aides that can be available 24 hours a day for your assistance and personal needs.
